YOUR FUNERAL - Handsome Young Man (unreleased track, 198?)

Just a few years back a friend of mine from the band Soul Merchants made me a compilation of Denver-related bands, much of which I believe to be unreleased. Now, seeing how I already adored the band Your Funeral, you can only imagine my excitement when discovering that right there on that comp was a Your Funeral song I hadn’t yet heard or knew existed. So here it is… fierce… garage punk… another song by Your Funeral!

So what was the name of that comp?

it was a special comp he made just for me called "Denvoid". eventually i'll be posting more from it soon, next thing being Jeri Rossi's only solo recording, so be sure to check back often. and enjoy that YF 7-inch... it's very much one of my favs!

...pretty much.

there's been a motion to re-release all the early Local Anesthetic Records stuff, this would include both the Jeri Rossi and Your Funeral 7-inches. so far it's been delayed. (but aren't these things ALWAYS delayed!?)

"New CD compilation of Colorado punk circa 77-83 called Local Anesthetic is in the planning stages I am hoping that you can help spread the word both to the bands & the public about a new project I am working on...Smooch Records is officially now putting together a CD compilation of colorado punk circa 1977-83 called Local Anesthetic. hopefully it will contain all of the singles released by Local Anesthetic-so far all bands I've contacted have said yes. But it will also have 'bonus' songs by bands from CO from 77-83 that were not on L.A...."

hi,
first off, congratulations for this amazing and brilliant blog you have... i discovered it few months ago and i went nuts with all the great records posted on it!

all the records are superb but when i saw the your funeral ep it was the top :) i remember seeing the cover on the flexbook discography years ago and wanting to listen to this band. and they were also in the same label as frantix, great!

i just wanted to say congratulations for this brilliant job you are doing, and also i wanted to ask you if you could post this records some day:
- the single or album of madhouse from d.c. (i got the album lp years ago in a record shop from my town for 12 bucks! but i have no idea how to translate it in a mp3 format)
- the xmas eve ep (pre-yo, from california). i have the "in my house" song from h2d "homework" comp. and i need to listen to the other ones. damn, they must be absolutely brilliant...

keep on doing so great job!

all the best from barcelona, s-pain.

greeting edu!

i do have both the single and the album of madhouse from d.c. i believe another blogger just recently uploaded the album, but i haven't seen the 45 listed anywhere yet. i'll put it on my "to rip" list and let you know once it's been posted.

now i'm off to look at your blog.

and wow, many thanks for putting my amateurish blog in your link page! this is an absolutely privilege... your blog is a TRUE and BRILLIANT one. i mean: where can you find such gems like morbid opera, da or your funeral complete singles in the same blog?
just say keep on doing so amazing and brilliant job and long live "life on the dot"!
